3D Designer with Product, Furniture and Spacial Design Experience

The Role
  • Red Fox Create is looking for a highly creative 3D Product, Fixtures and Fittings Designer to join our team. If you dream of taking briefs from some of the world’s leading brands and applying your mind to designing breakthrough concepts and items that captivate their customers, we want to meet you.

What you’ll do:
  • Ideate, conceptualise and bring your interpretation of client briefs to life in photo-realistic 3D renders of concepts that are fit for purpose, and grounded in manufacturing realities.
  • Apply Brand CI’s to all designs to ensure they are completely aligned to the brand’s positioning and aesthetic.
  • Meet with clients, designers, or directors to review projects and deadlines and agree on development timelines. These meetings may involve collaborating on design ideas and coming up with new suggestions for improving a project.
  • Respond positively to feedback, display adaptability and refine work to achieve alignment with the client.
  • Research relevant topics and reference points for ideas to use in your designs and upcoming projects.
  • Facilitate a detailed handover to the Technical Department, which will include the 3D models, artwork files created, and any other assets generated during the design process.
  • Work alongside with the various departments (Printing, Electronics, Fabrication and Painting) to ensure that projects are executed to the highest standard possible and ensure that the design intent is upheld. Be part of the QC process, understanding that your job is only done once the final product leaves the factory floor true to your design and fully functional.
  • Ensure that your projects are consistently delivered on time yet to the highest quality standards and are thoroughly and thoughtfully considered in terms of buildability.
What we’re looking for:
  • A relevant qualification in 3D Design
  • 7+ years’ experience in 3D Product Design, preferably with Interior Design / Interior Architecture experience
  • An expert user of 3DS Studio Max and V-Ray rendering software.
  • Equally proficient user of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
  • A strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects.
  • An innately creative, innovative and artistic person with a strong working knowledge of colour, texture, light, and materials such as MDF, natural woods, acrylic, common metals, cladding, and laminates as well as the manufacturing methods associated with these materials.
  • Driven to deliver their best and keep improving. Taking personal responsibility for expanding their knowledge about the design and POS/shopfitting industry to ensure they are constantly sharpening and refining their skills and remaining at the cutting edge of trends.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • An open, positive, collaborative, adaptable person who expresses respect for the expertise, skillsets and diversity of the rest of the team
